Today we have "Tea with the Cratchits" after the show. I think have tea and sandwiches in costume and sign programs for people. We will also have secret santa where we pick people in our cast to get gifts for. Also maybe a holiday party at Nancy's house.

The last few days I have been helping with different rehearsals. 10 minute plays and solo mios (put on by the apprentice company).
Yesterday dad and Trent sang London Calling and some other songs while Ami, David, and Michael auditioned to play bass in Sean's (our director's) next show. They were funny.

Alex and I are writing plays at home and during the show. Mine is called "The Christmas Boy is Coming Back." I fell yesterday walking on the curb next to the library. My face bled. We use make-up to cover it in the show. We are done in two weeks. I will miss the show. And I miss home.
This morning we had a signed performance. There was a guy signing at the edge of the stage with light on him. It was easy to pretend he wasn't there. We had cupcakes for Alex's birthday today. We are leaving in 15 minutes for tonight's show. I love two show days best.
Today and yesterday we are doing shows at 10:30 a.m. for schools. My mom went home yesterday morning. This picture on the right is the end of the show.
This is us at the beginning singing God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen.
Here is dad scaring Scrooge. The kids screamed at this part.
We opened this weekend! We did 2 shows on both Friday and Saturday and one yesterday. I did yawn in the second show, but I was not that tired. Gramma Pam and Grandma Renee and Grandpa Paul and my aunt Diane and cousins John and Sabina all came to see the show. My mom is still here until tomorrow. Grandma Renee got an ornament with Tiny Tim on it. Tomorrow we start morning shows for school kids.
Yesterday we had our first audience! This tree is in the lobby. There were 400 people there...lots of kids. The other night, we had a bad rehearsal...but the preview was fun and he (Sean) was happy. We got today off because the show went so well. There was a little boy fist pumping during the last song like it was a rock show.
I said my lines loud enough for the back row and I used my dialect which is British (Cockney). My Grandma is here. It smells like a dead rat when we go in the basement to get from the rehearsal hall to the theater.
This is our cast getting notes after the preview. Pablo is our stage manager (with the white hair on the right) He makes sure that everything happens when it is supposed to. He runs the show. This list tells us what scene is coming up. It is taped to the back side of the set walls.
Today was another day off. The last 2 days of Tech were called 10 out of 12s. It started at noon and we ended at midnight! There is a break for dinner. I loved rehearsing the Fezziwig scenes the most. I wear pretty braids as Basil. They are pinned to my bonnet.
We play lots of games in the green room.
The dressing rooms are below the stage, in the basement. The way you get to the stage is called a vom. It is short for vomitorium - like throwing up.
This is an example of our call sheet. It is how we know when to go to the theater.
We start tech today. that is where you add fog and sound and lights and move the set. We also wear costumes.Check the pictures to see what else we did yesterday. Solo Mios, a news station, we gave my mom a tour of the set.
I have been finding shapes for my home work in between scenes.
We move to the set tomorrow! I have seen it with my dad and with the kids and Lila. I had another costume fitting and I am going to surprise my dad with the dress for Basil.
I saw a Raisin in the Sun tonight. At first I wanted to leave, but then I liked it.
Yesterday was our day off. Me and dad went bowling with Trent (Fred & Mr. Fezziwig). I won and dad won. Trent did not win at all. Not even once.
We do warm ups for our voice. and tongue twisters: Red leather, yellow leather. Unique, New York. Topeka, bodega. I know watermelon, get your watermelon todaaaaaay from Joe at NYU. All I want is a proper cup of coffee, made in a proper copper coffee pot.
We sang for people today at the other theater here.
I played memory word and math games with Nako and Cady and Ami and Allison when I wasn't in scenes.
It smelled like dog food walking home in the very cold.
Hello Everyone! I miss you all. The flight over here to Louisville was great.
I will tell you all my characters. I play Tim Cratchit, Basil Fezziwig, and Ignorance. I rehearse Tuesdays-Sundays from 11 am to 6 or 7 pm.
I'm learning carols. I sing We Wish You a Merry Christmas at the end of the show.
I had a costume fitting and tried on 3 different costumes. The rags for Ignorance's costume are my favorite. I wear a brace for Tim. My dad wears chains for his costume.
There are 4 other kids in the show. Alex, Claire, Isaac, and Hunter.
